If you’re enjoying the game, and looking to challenge yourself or add an extra dynamic to the game, you can always make a hardcore character: one life, no mistakes. If you were like me when you start, gear and builds were things I had no idea about, I was just happy chugging through different zones, whether it be campaign or adventure. The ability to reroll areas for gear/new side missions/ bosses in adventure mode lets you start your story mode with the gear build you want, versus souls where you have to progress story for certain items. One thing this game gets right is replay ability. I got it for free as a PS Plus game and it's definitely worth a playthru. And the balance is odd with the bosses, some are super easy, some I die 20 times to stupid things (extra mobs, unresponsive controls, collision issues, etc) before beating them. Ultimately it's just not as polished or memorable but it is still fun. It hits the mark in many places but falls short in others. Sometimes it really feels like they tried to make dark souls with guns. Tho you also need to pay attention or you'll get laid out dead pretty quick. I don't feel like I need to 'git gud' to beat this game. It borrows SO MUCH from the souls games (bonfires, item/armor leveling, fog walls, so much more) but it's much less punishing than a souls game. I have played all the souls games and was expecting a souls-like experience. I'm about 20 hours in solo and having a good time.
